What is ByteSized Academy?

ByteSized Academy started as a platform that would aid my tutoring for a student I was asked to help.

The platform then evolved into a full fledged online learning platform and with it a business model.

I wanted to create a platform that would allow students to learn through projects and not just theory. Taking a few courses in school myself I despised the way we were taught, I wanted to change that.
While I only had a few months of experience in web development I decided to take on the challenge and create the platform myself.
While I could have used a prexisting learning management system I wanted to create something that was unique to me and my vision.

And I'm a developer, so why not?

After a few months and head banging I finally had a working and functional platform that was ready to be used!
Students can log in, view their courses, view their projects, and even submit assignments.

At the current moment the ByteSized LMS is only being used by a few students, but I have plans to release an updated version of the platform using a different stack in the near future. With an updated system & business model.
